MURALS AND TROMPE L' OEIL

Murals can range in style from the realistic and painterly to the whimsical or primitive.

Trompe l' oeil is a painting style which literally means that it "tricks the eye".

Both can be painted directly onto a wall. They can each incorporate various decorative painting techniques,such as colorwashing, ragging, sponging as a background for the mural or trompe l' oeil.
